Additional Ways to support the southland wind ensemble

There are a number of ways that you can support the wind ensemble, all of which will help us towards continuing our goal of presenting the wonderful music of the wind band in our community and beyond:

  1. Sponsor a section in the group. You can donate an amount to any section in the wind group and have your name listed in the program for the season.
  2. Sponsor a musician in the group and show your appreciation for their talents during our season.
  3. Sponsor a concert. While the 2025-2026 season is underway, we still have a need to purchase percussion equipment. Your donation would go towards getting our group to the next level of music making.
  4. Sponsor a piece of music. While we begin planning the 2026-2027 season, we have a list of sheet music that we need to purchase in order to make our performances a reality.
  5. Donate instruments needed for the group. (see list below)
  6. Arrange for donations online or at our performances.

Thank you for considering a donation/pledge so that we may continue making music for our community.

Over the season, we've been making progress in obtaining additional percussion instruments. With the donations received at our last couple of concerts, the Southland Wind Ensemble has been able to purchase a xylophone and a glockenspiel! I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this and hope that we can continue reaching our goal in getting more percussion instruments in the future.

If you'd be interested in helping us obtain percussion instruments, please reach out to George Osorio at gosorio@southlandwindensemble.com

WE did it!!

We did it and our Get the Boom in the Room Bass Drum fundraiser reached its goal! I am very excited to put this bass drum to good use and can't wait to see what we do next. I want to thank everyone who contributed towards this purchase and for believing in the Southland Wind Ensemble's mission of creating music. While we've reached one of our goals, we still have a little more to go and finally have our own percussion section. If you'd like to help us out, whether its donating music or percussion instruments, please look through this page for what we're in need of, or feel free to reach out to me at gosorio@southlandwindensemble.com
